Lone survivor in Tamil Nadu helicopter crash, IAF’s Group Captain Varun Singh dies

Captain Varun Singh dies : Indian Air Force Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor of the helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, has passed away. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has given this information through its social media handle.

The IAF wrote, “We are deeply pained to inform that Group Captain Varun Singh has passed away. He passed away on December 8, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a helicopter accident in Tamil Nadu. We stand with the bereaved family in paying tribute to them.”

In this helicopter crash, 13 people including CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were killed. The Rawat couple was cremated by both their daughters and after that their ashes were immersed in the Ganges in Haridwar.

Similarly, a large number of people gathered in the ancestral villages of other jawans for their last rites. Due to this helicopter crash in the whole country, the atmosphere was inconsolable. People were praying for Varun Singh’s speedy recovery.
