Vice Admiral SN Ghormade Takes Over As New new Deputy Chief of Naval Staff

Vice Admiral SN Ghormade on Saturday took over as the new Deputy Chief of Naval Staff in place of Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar. Earlier Ghoramde was the Deputy Chief of the Integrated Defense Staff (Operations and Training) at the Integrated Defense Staff Headquarters. Please inform that G Ashok Kumar is retiring today.

Ghormade has also served as the Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command. Ghormade was inducted into the Navy on 1 January 1984. He is a graduate of National Defense Academy (NDA), United States Naval Staff College at Khadakwasla, Pune, Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island and Naval War College, Mumbai.

In addition to specializing in Navigation and Direction within the Navy,  Vice Admiral SN Ghormade  holds an M Phil in Defense and Strategic Studies from the University of Mumbai, an MSc in Defense and Strategic Studies from the University of Madras and a Master’s degree in Personnel Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (University of Pune). Has attained.

Ghormade was awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal on 26 January 2017 and the Nausena Medal in 2007 by the President of India and in 2000 by the Chief of the Navy.
