Indian army’s strength will increase, military deal with America approved

There is good news for the Indian Army amidst the border dispute in Ladakh with China and the day-to-day firing from Pakistan. India’s military strength is going to increase in the coming times. Yes, the US has approved the sale of $ 9 million worth of military equipment and services to India as a support to its fleet of C-130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft.

The Defense Department’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) on Thursday said the proposed sale would help strengthen US-India strategic relations and help protect the security of a ‘major defense partner’. Will support national security.

The DSCA issued a major sales notification to the US Congress stating that India remains an important force for political stability, peace and economic progress in the Indo-Pacific and South Asian regions.

The requests India has made include aircraft spare parts and repair and return parts, cartridge actuated equipment or propellant actuated equipment (CAD or PAD), fire cartridge, modern radar warning receiver shipset and GPS. Their total cost is $ 900 million.

The Pentagon said the proposed sale would ensure that previously purchased aircraft could work effectively for the transportation needs of the Indian Air Force, Army and Navy, local and international humanitarian aid and regional disaster relief.

He said that this sale of equipment and services would put the Air Force in a position to be mission-ready in terms of C-130J transport aircraft. India will face no difficulty in obtaining this additional assistance.

According to the Pentagon, the proposed sale of these devices will not change the basic military balance in the region. The leading contractor will be the Lockheed-Martin Company (Georgia). In 2016, the US took a major step and declared India as a ‘major defense partner’.
