On the anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, India’s Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane today paid homage to the martyrs. 40 CRPF personnel were killed on February 14, 2019 when a Jaish-e-Mohammed ultra rammed an explosives-laden car into their vehicle. BHEL gets order to supply compact heat exchanger sets for Tejas
State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Monday said it has bagged an order from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd to supply compact heat exchanger sets for Tejas aircraft. “Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has received a prestigious order for the supply of compact heat exchanger sets for 83 LCA Tejas MK1A aircrafts, from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL),” the company said in a statement. The order envisages manufacturing, assembly, testing and supply of compact heat exchangers to be fitted in the light combat aircraft, Tejas, being manufactured by HAL. Russia won’t bid for Indian Navy’s new submarine plan
Russia has said that it will not take part in the Indian Navy’s ongoing procurement plan for new submarines, confirming that the Indian government has been formally notified of the decision. The Rs 43,000 crore plan to acquire six new submarines under Project 75I has also hit delays early in the process, with other foreign contenders and Indian partners seeking additional time to formulate their proposals. The Russian side has offered India upgraded Kilo class submarines – the type that forms the bulk of the current conventional fleet – but has decided to withdraw from the contest citing technical reasons.

Budget For Police Modernistation : The Union home ministry said the scheme includes security-related expenditure in Jammu and Kashmir, northeastern states and Maoist-affected areas for raising new battalions, developing high-tech forensic laboratories and other investigation tools. The government has approved the continuation of the umbrella scheme of Modernisation of Police Forces (MPF), an official statement said. Four personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), including a deputy commandant and an assistant sub-inspector, were injured on Tuesday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), planted by Naxals, went off in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said.
