Army Cadet College (ACC) Has Published the Form Notification of Jan 2026 Exam Course. All Candidates Can Apply the Form Before 18th July 2025. Below Are the Complete Details About Form & Eligibility.
The ACC Entry is a prestigious route for serving personnel (PBOR) from the Army, Navy, or Air Force to become Commissioned Officers in the Indian Army. Selected candidates undergo a 3‑year degree program at the ACC Wing in Dehradun, followed by a 1‑year pre-commission course at the Indian Military Academy (IMA).

Initial written test and interview conducted by commanding officer before applications are forwarded

Written Examination (at HRDC) : Comprises four papers:

General Mental Ability

Current Affairs & General Ability

Academic Content (Class 12 level)

Interactive Communicative English

Each paper has 150 questions (300 marks) and 2-hour duration

SSB Interview & Medical

Cleared candidates go to SSB (5-day assessment) and medical board for officer standard fitness

Training Structure

ACC Wing, Dehradun: 3 years divided into six 6-month semesters

IMA, Dehradun: 1-year pre-commission course for all ACC cadets

Commissioning

Post successful training at ACC + IMA, cadets are commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army.

Recent ACC Graduation
On June 6, 2025, 48 cadets from the 125th ACC course graduated at IMA, Dehradun, earning B.A./B.Sc degrees from JNU. Their training will continue with a one-year pre-commission course starting July. Awards included COAS medals for top performance and Commandant’s Banner awarded to Kargil Company.
ACC Written Exam Pattern
There will be total 6 sections in the written examination. Every section is of 50 mark consisting of 25 questions.
That means the total paper is of 6Â Â 50 = 300 marks for 3 hours.
For this 3 hours of paper
- Reasoning 25 questions
- Maths 25 questions
- General Knowledge 25 questions
- English 25 questions
- General Science 25 questions
- Humanities 25 questions
Total 150 questions, each of 2 marks comprising total to 300, with negative marking 0.5.
