Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian
Age Limit (as of July 1, 2026):
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (Up to 26 years for candidates with a valid Commercial Pilot License)
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years
Educational Qualifications:
- Flying Branch:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline with at least 60% marks and Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level
- OR BE/B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks
- Ground Duty (Technical):
- Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics): 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics and a 4-year degree in Engineering/Technology with at least 60% marks
- Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical): Same as above with relevant engineering discipline
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- Administration & Logistics: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks
- Accounts: B.Com with at least 60% marks
- NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch):
- NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate and other criteria as per Flying Branch eligibility

- Click on “Candidate Login” and select “AFCAT 02/2025”
- Register with your email ID and mobile number
- Fill in personal, educational, and other required details
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and thumb impression
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable)
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference
 Selection Process
- Written Examination: Objective-type questions covering:
- General Awareness
- Verbal Ability in English
- Numerical Ability
- Reasoning and Military Aptitude
- Each correct answer awards 3 marks; 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer
- Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview:
- Candidates who qualify in the written exam are called for the AFSB interview, which assesses various skills and aptitudes
- Medical Examination:
- Candidates recommended by the AFSB undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness for service
