Air Force Aircraft AN-32 Goes Missing

Efforts are on to find missing Indian   AN-32 aircraft take off  for  Arunachal Pradesh with 8 crew members and 5 people from Jorhat of Assam. The aircraft is unable to contact since Monday afternoon. It took 42 hours and the search operation continues till now. The search operation is obstructed due to bad weather. Operation of satellite, spy aircraft, fighter plane, helicopter and army  is still on.

 

The missing aircraft AN-32 did not have modern avionics, radars, or emergency locator transmitters (ELT). The last location of the aircraft was found near the border of China in the western Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is believed that the aircraft will be around this location.

 

• Police in five districts in search of :-

Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Bamang Felix said that we have imposed civil and police administration of five districts in this search operation. At the same time we have appealed to local people to join the administration in the campaign. The area in which the aircraft is expected to be missing is dense forests and inaccessible. The weather is also bad, but we hope to get some news.

• P-8I aircraft also explores

Naval spokesman Capt DK Sharma told that the P-8I flight took off at about one o’clock in the afternoon by INS Rajali, posted in Arakonam, Tamilnadu. It is looking for AN-32. P-8I is equipped with aircraft electro-optical and infrared sensors. The aircraft has a very powerful synthetic spare radar (SAR).

• ISRO is also helping in finding the missing aircraft

For exploration of missing aircraft, Indian Air Force’s C-130, AN-32 aircraft, two Mi-17 Indian Air Force and AIH helicopters of Indian Army were deployed. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is also collaborating with the help of satellites.

In 2016, an aircraft of the same fleet (AN-32) had gone missing on the Bay of Bengal. Everybody who was saved in his search also could do the army, but regret that his debris has not yet been found
