Will CAPF Assistant Commandant have SSB Interview? : CAPF refers to the Central Armed Police Forces.  Every year UPSC conducts exam for the post of AC- Assistant Commandant. CAPF AC exam is held for recruitment in the following –

CAPF Assistant Commandants  Border Security Force (BSF) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Central Industrial Security Force(CISF) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

Will CAPF Assistant Commandant have SSB Interview? The answer to this question is NO. Because CAPF is no part of the Indian Armed Forces and it does not come under Defence Ministry but rather Home Ministry and also it is has different exam pattern as compared to NDA and CDS exams.

CAPF AC Selection Process

A series of steps are involved in CAPF recruitment. The recruitment procedure’s exam pattern is quite detailed and extensive. There are three stages to the recruitment process: 

1. Written exam for CAPF 
2. Physical Efficiency Test, and Medical Standards Test
3. Interview/ Personality Test 

Candidates must first take the CAPF Exam, which is administered in two sessions in the offline mode. The exam will last 5 hours in total. Candidates who pass this stage advance to the next one.

In stage II, candidates must meet the requirements for the 100m, 800m, long jump, and shot put (7.26 kg). For shot put, female candidates do not have to meet any requirements.

The qualified candidates are then invited to a personality test (interview) with a panel of three to four judges who have extensive professional and technical knowledge.

CAPF AC Interview Process

CAPF AC Selection Process: Candidates who are deemed fit and pass the Medical Standards Test will be invited to the final round of interviews or personality tests. The UPSC CAPF Selection Process will be worth 150 points at this stage.

It is important to note that candidates who have been declared medically unfit but have been granted permission by the Appellate Authority to appear before the “Review Medical Board” on their appeal will also be called for the final round.

A four-person panel is comprised of one chairperson (a CAPF member in good standing) and three professors/experts with extensive experience in their respective fields.

In the beginning, there is an introduction session to help the candidate gain confidence.

Then there are questions that are based on the DAF answers (Detailed Application Form).

At both the national and regional levels, candidates are quizzed on current events.

So in short we can conclude that NO,  CAPF Assistant Commandant does not have SSB Interview as it’s exam pattern is altogether different.
