Why Speaking Truth Is Important In SSB Interview?

Speaking truth here means, ‘being true with your thoughts’.

The psychological test in SSB Interview is conducted to assess the potential of a candidate in terms of qualities or personality trait that are desired in a potential officer material.

Through this test the psychologist is able to read the actual personality of the candidate since they give their responses in terms of their thoughts.

SSB is a process where 3 specialists judge you and mark out your qualities via different exercises and if eventually in the conference round your qualities match up you’re in.

An example is that in WAT if you have a word let’s say honest and you make up sentences such as ‘A man should be honest; Honesty is the best policy’ then the psychologist marks out honesty a one of your qualities. But unfortunately, you say NO in interview and later on fall in the pit of your lie. So the interviewer marks dishonest/liar as your quality. Eventually, in the conference your qualities will have a mismatch and you’ll end up losing recommendation.
So generally, it is suggested that you be true about your thoughts and do not use artificially induced ideas through coaching because changing a man from what he has been for years in few days is difficult.

So there is no scope of rejection as you only speak truth in front of interviewer. So be who you are.
