NDA 2021 Preparation Tips

National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is one of the most prestigious and toughest examinations in the country. The schedule for NDA was released in May 2021, according to which the NDA exam was to be held on September 5, but in view of the situation of corona infection, this exam was postponed. According to the new schedule, the new date of NDA entrance exam is 14 November 2021. It is worth noting that this exam is conducted twice a year. Every year more than 3 lakh students from across the country sit in this examination after passing 12th.

1- Knowledge of exam pattern and syllabus is very important

Before starting NDA Preparation 2021, candidates must have the knowledge of NDA Exam Pattern 2021. According to the NDA 2021 exam pattern, 120 questions are asked in the Maths paper which is of 300 marks and the duration of 2 hours 30 minutes is given to solve this paper. On the other hand, the second paper is of General Ability Test, in which 150 questions are asked and it is of 600 marks. Candidates should note that 1/3 mark will be deducted under negative marking for wrong answer in the exam. Along with the knowledge of the exam pattern of NDA 2021, it is also important for the candidates to be aware of the syllabus for the written examination. There are two subjects in NDA written exam – Mathematics and General Ability Test, the questions asked in NDA exam are from these subjects.

 2- Prepare with good study material

Candidates must inculcate the habit of reading news papers and books as this will help them to improve their grammar skill set, cover the recent events and developments in the world and improve basic general knowledge. Applicants are also advised not to mention too many books as it can lead to a lot of confusion. Candidates are advised to refer standard and best books for NDA 2021 preparation and solve as many sample question papers as possible in the allotted time.

3- Solve previous year question papers

Candidates are advised to practice as many sample papers and previous year question papers as possible for NDA written exam. This will improve their speed and accuracy level in the exam. After covering NDA 2021 Syllabus, NDA Sample Papers should be attempted. This will help the candidates to know about their week areas/sections in NDA exam which need improvement. It will also give them an idea of ​​the actual NDA exam pattern and the type of questions asked in the exam.
