Taliban capture Afghanistan again

Taliban have again captured Afghanistan. Taliban militants had laid siege to Kabul since morning. Later, when they entered Kabul, the Afghan army surrendered. After this talks were held between the representatives of the government and the Taliban and President Ashraf Ghani left the country. According to media reports, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has left for Tajikistan from the country.

Along with President Ashraf Ghani, many other leaders including NSA Hamdullah Mohib have also left the country. According to media reports, the Taliban have captured the Afghan Rashtrapati Bhavan in Kabul, hours after President Ashraf Ghani left the country. The Taliban has also said that no interim government will be formed to transfer power in Afghanistan.

The Taliban have recaptured Afghanistan after almost two decades. In September 2001, Al Qaeda terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and elsewhere. After this, the Taliban had to leave power after the US attack on Afghanistan. After 20 years, when America called back its troops from Afghanistan, the Taliban took control again.

The Afghan army could not stand before the Taliban attack. The Taliban have driven out Afghan security forces despite air support from the US military. A few days ago, the US military had predicted that the capital would be captured by the Taliban in less than a month.
