UNSC : India claims to play a constructive and meaningful role in ending Syrian conflict
India stated on 20 January 2021 that it was ready to play a “constructive and meaningful” role in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) towards ending the Syrian conflict altogether. Modernization of army is necessary to deal with the threat of China and Pakistan: Lt Gen G P Mohanty
Lieutenant General Chandi Prasad Mohanty stressed the need for modernization of the force before taking over as the next Deputy Chief of the Indian Army. India announced coronavirus vaccine to 6 countries including Bangladesh, Nepal
India is now going to help them by giving Corona virus vaccine to their friendly countries. On the supply of Coronavirus vaccines, the Ministry of External Affairs said that India announced supply of Covid-19 vaccines to Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Seychelles from Wednesday under grant-in-aid. The ministry said that it is awaiting necessary regulatory approval in relation to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius. India begins tenure of United Nations Security Council to speak out against terror

Procurement of S-400 Air Defence System from Russia can create problems
Procurement of the S-400 air defence system from Russia could pose difficult US sanctions for India. This is indicated in the US parliamentary report. India approves export of Akash missile system
Union Cabinet approved the export of Akash missile system on 30 December 2020. With this, it was also decided to set up a committee to make exports faster. According to a Defense Ministry release, under self-reliant India, the country is increasing the capacity to manufacture a wide range of defence equipment and missiles.
