The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recently approved a kit named ‘OMISURE’. Omisure is an RT-PCR kit. It is used to detect Omicron, a COVID-19 variant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Saryu Canal National Project worth Rs 9,802 crore in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh on 11 December 2021. PM Modi first inspected the model related to the Saryu canal project along with the Governor and CM. After that, by pressing the button, the country’s largest irrigation project was launched.
