Remembering Martyr Major Aditya Singh On His Birthday

Today, we are going to pay tribute to the nation’s ‘royal’ war hero on his birthday who was simply legend in his own terms. Martyr Major Aditya Singh was without any doubt one of the classic soldiers brave hearts who sacrificed his life in the line of service. Coming from a royal family of Rajasthan, he could have lived a really luxurious life but for him, the life of selfless service was the ultimate choice and greatly succeeded in living up to it.

Maj. Kunwar Aditya Singh Nathawat was from Chomu Thikana (Jaipur) and was born on 9th June 1975. He hailed from the royal Rajput family of Chomu Thikana. His father was Col. Thakur Jitendra Singhji Nathawat and mother is Thakurani Lalita Kumari, second daughter of Thakur Dalpat Singh of Thikana Siriyari Pali. Major Aditya Singh was married to Kunwarani Rukshmani Kumari, daughter of Thakur Mansinghji Vaghela of Deodar, Banaskantha in Gujarat. their son is Bhanwar Prithviraj Singh Nathawat.

On 5th November 2011, during operation Prakram in Kashmir he was martyred while encountering the terrorists who attacked the army personnel. He made sure the area is secured and sacrificed his life while on the front of duty with a happy smile. He is survived by his son and wife Rukshmani Kumari who is an active politician and social worker.

He gave an ample example of selfless service irrespective of his royal background. He chose to die for the nation rather living for himself.
