Indian Railways Start “Meri Saheli” Initiatve
Indian Railways has launched ‘Meri Saheli’ initiative which takes care of the safety of women passengers traveling by trains in all areas. This initiative was started in September 2020 as a pilot project in South Eastern Railway. After the positive response received from women passengers, it was extended to all regions and Konkan Railway from 17 October 2020. This ‘Meri Saheli’ initiative has been launched by Railway Protection Force (RPF) “Meri Saheli” initiative for the safety of women passengers during train journey. India Tests BrahMos Missile with Sukhoi Aircraft
On 30 October 2020, the Indian Air Force successfully tested the fighter-capable version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. It was fired from a Sukhoi MKI-30 aircraft into the Bay of Bengal. Based on the intelligence input given by the Military Intelligence (MI) Jaipur, Rajasthan Police arrested a civil defense employee of the Military Engineering Services (MES) in Nirvu in the state on charges of working as a ‘spy agent’. This employee was giving secret information of the army to the Pakistani intelligence agency. Army recruit gang busted, three arrested including jawan
The crime branch of the Pune Police of Maharashtra and the Liaison Unit (Military Vigilance) of the Southern Command busted the gang for conducting fake recruitment for the army during a written examination on Sunday. A senior police officer gave this information. Police said the gang was busted during the general recruitment examination being conducted at the Military Physical Training Institute (AIPT) and three people, including an army man, were arrested. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Bachchan Singh said, “We received information from the Army officials regarding the forgery of today’s entrance examination to be held at the AIPT ground.”
