Novak Djokovic Wins 9th Australian Open Title

Serbia veteran tennis player Novak Djokovic has recently won another title of Australian Open. Novak Djokovic defeated Daniel Medvedev in the final of the Australian Open. This is Djokovic’s 18th Grand Slam title, as well as the 9th Australian Open title.

He defeated Russia’s Denil Medvedev 7-5 6-2 6-2 in the final. This is his 9th Grand Slam title in Melbourne. With this, Novak Djokovic has won the 18th Grand Slam Men’s Singles title of his career. They are behind only Roger Federer of Switzerland and Rafael Nadal in Spain. These two have 20-20 Grand Slam Men’s Singles titles.

Djokovic had named this title in the year 2019 and also in the year 2020. That is, three consecutive times Djokovic has won the Australian Open title. He had earlier won the Australian Open in the year 2008, year 2011, year 2012, year 2013, year 2015 and year 2016 also.

Djokovic has played the Australian Open tournament a total of 17 times so far. He has become the champion most of these times. After this, Roger Federer and Roy Emerson won the title 6-6 times and Andre Agassi, Jack Crawford and Ken Roswell 4-4 times.

Djokovic has not lost a match against Federer, Nadal and Murray for 14 years at the Australian Open. The last time Federer defeated Djokovic in a Round-4 match was in 2007. Djokovic was then 19 and Federer was the No. 1 player.
