NDA 1 or NDA 2: Which One is Difficult to Crack?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam twice a year. The exam is held once in April and then in September.

There happens to be no such major difference between NDA 1 and NDA 2, as both are conducted by UPSC at National Level and are set at the same pace.

But somewhere, NDA 2 is said to be difficult than NDA 2.

As the students who pass 12^th in the month of March, has a fresh knowledge of 11^th and 12^th course. They can easily appear for the exam after a month which is just after 12^th board exams. So the UPSC sets easy paper so that all are at equal level.

But there’s also a negative point. The cutoff of NDA 1 is higher as compared to that of NDA 2.

In NDA 1, most of the candidates are the repeaters and there also are the 12^th passed candidates, hence they are completely familiar to the syllabus. This makes it easier for the candidates to crack the exam in a single attempt much easily as compared to the NDA 2 examination.

Apart from the above reasons, candidates themselves are the one who make their exams easier or difficult for themselves.

If a candidate is completely familiar to the syllabus, has a vast knowledge of each and every topic and also is well revised with his course, then definitely the exam becomes easier for them to crack whether it is NDA-1 or NDA-2
