Medical Standards In MNS

The medical standards in MNS are quite different from the rest of the defence entrance exams. It involves the following set of physical standards and medical tests which a female candidate needs to go through in order to be eligible for the MNS examination.

Eyesight Vision Standard 

• Without Glasses (Best Eye) – 6/6
• With Glasses (Worse Eye) – 6/18
• Colour Vision – CP -3
• Myopia Limit – (Not More Than)– 5.5 D
• Hypermetropia – (Not More Than) 3.5 D
• Should have no colour and night blindness.

Physical  Standards 

• Minimum Height – 148 cm
• Minimum Weight -39 kg

Relaxation up to 1.3 cm allowed

Height and Weight As Per Age Chart

• Minimum Chest Measure – 77 cm (without expansion) 82 cm (with expansion)
• 14 Dental Points Completion Necessary
• Candidate needs to be physically fit as per the military board standards
• A healthy constitution of the body

Medical Tests 

• X-Ray Test- Chest
• USG (Ultra Sonography Of Abdomen)
• Fundus and Media Check

Note- Presence of fundus and media should be within limits

Undue degenerative signs of vitreous or chorioretinal to be avoided.

Chronic disease that may cause exacerbation or deterioration of vision
