Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, which has been inaugurated as “India’s biggest scheme to augment the health infrastructure infrastructure”. According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the mission aims to “fill critical gaps in the public health infrastructure, especially in critical care facilities and primary care in urban and rural areas.”

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), it will ensure access of the general public to critical care services in all districts of the country with a population of more than five lakhs through ‘Exclusive Critical Care Hospital Blocks’ and then, referral services to all other remaining districts. will be covered through Integrated public health laboratories will also be set up in all districts, giving people access to “a full range of diagnostic services”.
