Actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who was called the power star of Kannada cinema, died on 29 October 2021. He was 46 years old. Karnataka CM has also expressed grief over the death of Puneet Rajkumar. Confirming this news, the Karnataka CM said that he has achieved a lot at a very young age.
He had a heart attack, after which he was admitted to the ICU. After hearing the news of Puneet Rajkumar having a heart attack, a gathering of his fans was outside the hospital. His fans used to call Puneet Rajkumar by the name Appu. Puneet’s father was also a legend actor, his mother’s name is Parvathamma.
People associated with the film industry across the country have mourned the death of Puneet Rajkumar. There has been a wave of mourning in the film world due to the sudden demise of Puneet Rajkumar. At the same time, his fans are also expressing grief on social media. In view of the possibility of Puneet’s fans coming on the streets, a high alert has been declared in Karnataka. The government has also ordered the closure of all cinema halls immediately.
Puneet Rajkumar started his career as a child artist. In the year 1985, he was seen in the film ‘Bettada Howu’. He received many awards for this role. Along with this, he was also awarded the National Award.

He was last seen in the film ‘Suvaratthana’, where the audience liked his performance. This film was released this year. Apart from being an actor, he was also the father of two daughters. Puneet was famous among his fans as Power Star and Appu.
Puneet has worked in more than 29 Kannada films. He also received the National Award for Best Child Artist after his debut. Puneet was seen in famous films like ‘Abhi’, ‘Veera Kannadiga’, ‘Ajay’, ‘Arasu’, ‘Ram’, ‘Hudugaru’ and ‘Anjani Putra’.
His best known performances include Vasant Geeta (1980), Bhagyavant (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahlad, Yarivanu and Bettada Hoovu (1985).
