Day 0: Reporting Day

The journey towards SSB begins on Reporting Day (Day 0). Candidates should report to the SSB centre as specified on their call letter.   • Group Obstacle Race (GOR)- The Group Obstacle Race tests candidates on group enthusiasm, coordination, motivation, and endurance.

Day 4: Group Testing – II & Personal Interview

Day 4 is considered to be the hardest day during the SSB interview procedure because candidates are tested individually and in groups, along with a personal interview during this day.

Activities on Day 4:

  • Lecturette – This involves speaking to a group of people. It assesses your public speaking capability, confidence, and ability to think clearly.
  • Individual Obstacle Task – Assesses physical fitness, bravery, and determination.
  • Command Task – Assesses leadership, accountability, and decision-making skills.
  • Final Group Task – The last assessment of your ability to work with other people and cooperate.
  • Personal Interview – This is a one-on-one session that will assess your personality, honesty, body language, and performance throughout the tests.

Day 5: Conference Day

The last day of the SSB 5-day process, Conference Day, will consist of candidates appearing in front of a board of senior officers. Conference Day assesses the candidates and decides on the outcomes.

  1. Meeting with the board
  2. Questions about your overall experiences and performances
  3. Final assessment/decision-making
  4. Results announced
