India Govt’s Afghanistan Evacuation Mission Named “Operation Devi Shakti”

“Operation Devi Shakti : After the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan, India’s complex mission to rescue Indian citizens and Afghan allies from Kabul has been named ‘Operation Devi Shakti’. Since the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan, the Indian government has been working to bring out the Indians trapped in Afghanistan.

The government has so far evacuated 800 people from Afghanistan since the Taliban took over the country recently. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has confirmed this name. He wrote in a tweet that Operation Devi Shakti is going on. It is being told in media reports that the name of this operation has been named ‘Devi Shakti’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

On 16 August, India started the complex mission of bringing people safely by plane from Kabul to Delhi by bringing 40 Indians. A day earlier, the Taliban had captured the Darul government of Afghanistan.

The mission to rescue Indians trapped in Afghanistan is being carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. India has named this mission as ‘Operation Devi Shakti’. The mission is named ‘Operation Devi Shakti’ because as ‘Maa Durga’ protects the innocent from demons, the mission aims to protect innocent civilians from the violence of Taliban terrorists.
