IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria Takes Farewell Flight Before Retiring on 30 September

Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria is retiring on 30th Septemebr 2021. At the same time, the Indian Air Force (IAF) informed that on September 13, as the Chief of Air Force, he (Bhadauria) made his last flight in a fighter aircraft. This means that there is no possibility of him flying any other fighter aircraft after September 13 and till he retires now.

Bhadauria will complete his two-year tenure as the Air Chief on September 30 and retire. The IAF said, “Outgoing Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria made his last flight in a fighter aircraft as Chief of Air Staff at 23 Squadron, Halwara on 13 September. His flying career started with the same ‘Panthers’ squad flying the MIG-21 and then ended at the same airbase and with the same squadron.’

SRT For Air Force X & Y Adaptability Test Practice Set (1 & 2)

Air Marshal Sandeep Singh has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief of the Air Staff. Singh will replace the current Air Marshal VR Choudhary who will take over as the next IAF chief on 30 September.

The new changes have been made in view of the retirement of current Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, who will complete his two-year term on September 30. Air Marshal Balabhadra Radha Krishna, the current Western Air Command chief, has now been appointed as the new chief of the Integrated Defense Staff (CISC) to head the Chiefs of Staff Committee. He will be the first IAF officer to take over as the CISC in the last nearly six years, playing a key role in all tri-service matters working under the Chief of Defense Staff.
