Election commission will launch digital voter IDs

Election Commission of India will formally launch the Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card today (25 January). E-Epic will be a PDF version of the Electoral Photo Identity Card. It cannot be edited. It will have a secure QR code with picture and serial number, part number etc.

On the occasion of ‘National Voters’ Day’, on January 25, the electronic electronic photo ID card facility has been started across the country. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch an electronic version of voter ID card on 25 January 2021. The e-version of the voter ID card can be downloaded on a mobile phone or personal computer.

This arrangement has been made by the Election Commission for general voters on the occasion of National Voters’ Day. This voter id card can be downloaded on your mobile. At a time when most ID cards are coming on digital platforms. It is believed that this will bring great relief to the general voters. It can be used anywhere when needed.
