Currently SSB Interview is a 5 Day Interview Process which Evaluates Individuals for Officers Like Qualities. SSB Interview Process is a 5 Day Process Divided into 2 Stages:-
Stage 1- Screening
Stage 2– Psychological Test, GTO, Personal Interview and Conference
Recently Indian Army on its Official Website came up with a new Video Stating There is a Change Proposed in Screening Process
What is The Latest Change in Screening
According to Latest Changes:-Â Screening Process will now be all Computerized and will now be known as Computerized Stage 1 Selection System which will require 2 Tests:-
Test 1- CSSS
Test 2- OPAM
Lets Talk About CSSS
In this Test:- Candidates are Assessed For Cognitive Abilities and higher Order Cognitive Functions like:
1. Visualization
2. Perceptual Speed
3. Linguistic Abilities
4. Form Perception
5. Space Perception
Candidates Are Tested For :-
1.Working Memory
2.Map Memory
3.Auditory
4.Discrimination
5.Sustained Attention
6.Selective Attention
Lets Talk About Test 2 – OPAM
The Second Test OPAM consists of Self Report Objective Items Whose main aim is to Evaluate Candidates over 15 Officer Like Qualities.It is Fully Computerized,Easy to Operate and Easy to Administer and Score System.The Approximate number of Questions are :
1. Cognitive- 70 Questions
2. Personality Based – 120 Questions.
The 10 Different Tests will have Different number of Questions and Different Timings
Challenges with Computerized Stage 1 Selection System
1. Over Dependence on Technology
2. Candidates from rural backgrounds might initially face challenges adapting to a high-speed computer-based test
3. Infrastructure Problems-All SSB Boards are not that Equipped with High Infrastructure
