Change In Physical Qualification For Army GD Post Solider Recruitment

The candidates have got a big relief regarding the recruitment of Soldier GD (General Duty) in the Indian Army. The weight of male candidates to be recruited on military post will now be decided on the ratio of length. Earlier this rule was meant for officers recruited in the army, but now this rule has also been applied for military posts.

Till now, the minimum weight limit for male candidates was 50 kg and a maximum of 62 kg for recruitment in the army. Now in the new rule, the maximum weight limit will also increase with the length.

Candidates preparing for military recruitment will have to pay more attention to fitness. They will now have to succeed in weight criteria in proportion to their length instead of a minimum of 50 kg weight. The army is now going to change the weight criteria for the selection of solid and strong candidates.

Army’s independent recruitment board Delhi has also started it in its recruitment as a pilot project. The notification has also been sent to all other recruitment headquarters of the country.

In the Indian Army till now, according to the geographical location of different states, the length was decided for the people there. In Uttar Pradesh also, physical parameters have also been fixed for posts like Sainik GD, Sainik Technical, Tradesman, Store Keeper Technical and Nursing Assistant.

The minimum length of a candidate for the post of Soldier GD is 170 cm and weight is 50 kg. However, having a weight of more than 62 kg, the candidate was disqualified for being overweight. Now the new standards will also increase the maximum weight limit with length.
