Lt Abhishek Kumar, 28 year old Indian Officer drowned and lost his life while swimming in Kerala. Abhishek Kumar was posted in Southern Command in Kerala, Kottayam. He went missing while taking a dip in the stream near Marmala waterfalls. Abhishek belonged to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was swimming when sudden surge of water from the watefalls swept him away. The body was taken out around 4 pm by the fire and rescue team named “Team Nanmakottam” Due to the strong currents and wind the rescue operation was affected. Vice Admiral SN Ghormade on Saturday took over as the new Deputy Chief of Naval Staff in place of Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar. Earlier Ghoramde was the Deputy Chief of the Integrated Defense Staff (Operations and Training) at the Integrated Defense Staff Headquarters. Please inform that G Ashok Kumar is retiring today. Nine people have died in a landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district. In this, two youths from Korba and Janjgir-Champa districts of Chhattisgarh are also included. Amogh Bapat, who lived in Korba, was a lieutenant officer in the Indian Navy and was posted in Andaman and Nicobar these days. The basin trials of the country’s first giant indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant have been successful. Now the ship will be launched for deep sea trials in the first week of August. Cochin Shipyard and Navy have intensified preparations for this. These tests will be done in the Indian Ocean. INS Chakra, only submarine capable of carrying out nuclear attack goes to Russia
The only submarine capable of nuclear attack is also no longer in the country. This submarine ‘INS Chakra’ of the Indian Navy has been sent to Russia. This submarine was leased from Russia in 2012. Earlier in 1988, a similar submarine was leased from Russia itself. News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that Akula class submarine INS Chakra is returning to Russia as its lease has expired.
