Russia assures flow of defence supplies to India

Russia has assured India that defence supplies will not be hit by the western sanctions announced against Moscow and that alternative mechanisms are in place to ensure that crucial contracts such as the S-400 air defence system are not disrupted. Border Security Force (BSF) has come up with CCTV surveillance systems along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Assam. Decision on AFSPA extension in Assam only after Manipur polls

The call on the extension of the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (Afspa) in Assam may be taken soon. Trainer aircraft crashes in Telangana’s Nalgonda, Trainee Pilot Dies

Atrainer aircraft crashed in Telangana’s Nalgonda on Saturday. The trainee pilot, identified as 28-year-old G Mahima from Tamil Nadu, died in the crash. The aircraft – a Flytech Aviation Cessna 152 – had taken off from Macherla in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that it hit an electric pole before crashing to the ground.
