In a first, NDA to admit 20 women cadets next year
NDA to admit women cadets : The Supreme Court recently allowed the inclusion of women candidates in the entrance examination of the National Defense Academy (NDA). Now according to News18.com, next year around 20 women cadets will be recruited under NDA, who will serve in the three services in different positions. A senior defence official said the requirement was placed by the Personal Services Headquarters. According to News18, out of the 20 women cadets, the army will have the largest force of about 10 women officers, followed by the Indian Air Force and the Navy with about 5 officers each.
