AN-32 Goes Missing

An IAF AN-32 Goes Missing. It flew from Jorhat to Mehnuka carrying 13 Personnel of which 8 were IAF Officers and 6 Civilians. The Aircraft went Missing on Monday.

Search n Rescue team were put into action since Monday afternoon .Several aircraft,choppers ,C-130J Hercules ,Su-30’s were flown from different air bases like that of Jorhat,Tezpur and Chabbua.The fleet of aircrafts with quite a few from Indian Navy like Pi8 too joined the rescue n Search Mission but failed to Find Anything .

The trouble with Search n Rescue Team is Emergency n Locator Transmitter Service of An-32 Aircraft is still not on which means ELTS is not working of An-32 Aircraft.

AN-32 aircrat has always thought to be a Passenger Aircraft however its role was far ahead than that,An 32 Aircraft was used to transfer Meat on Hoof like Sheeps to Siachen,Ladakh and Arunchal Pradesh.During Bhuj Earthquke An 32 Served as Air Ambulance and played a vital role.During Kedarnath Floods An 32 played a vital role in Evacuation Process.An 32 was used to transfer currency in Manipur durng 2010-2011 Insurgency.Its because of these vital roles which AN 32 has Played,Emotions of the Country Men are connected with An-32 Aircaft which makes it a Peoples Aircraft.

May the God be With the Families of the People who are lost with An-32.May God Give them Strength. Tragedies and Accidents don’t come with Warnings.
