OTA stands for Officers Training Academy. It is situated at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. SSC (Short Service Commission) officers for all the three wings of the Indian Armed Forces – Navy, Air Force, Army. For graduation level  and other entry scheme, defence aspirants prefer CDS to serve in the capacity of an officer. It is open for male as well as female candidates.

There are four entry schemes by which you can join OTA  :-

1. Through CDS Exam

Candidates can join OTA Chennai for SSC Non-Technical Branch through Combined Defense Services Exam held double a year.

Age Limit : 19–25 years

2. SSC-Tech

People who are specialized alumni can join through SSC-Tech Entries. There is no composed test and the shortlisting of use is done based on remove level of qualifying test, for example designing.

Age Limit : 20 years to 27 years

3. NCC Special Entry Scheme

Male and female Graduates with LLB/LLM with half Aggregate imprints, 2 years administration in NCC Senior Div. Armed force with least B Grade in C Certificate are qualified to apply for this section.

Age Limit- 19-25 years

4. Judge Advocate Entry

Law Graduates can apply for this entry scheme. Male and Female Graduates with LLB/LLM with 55% imprints. Enlisted with Bar Council of India/State are qualified. SSB calls made to wanted up-and-comers after beginning screening of the applications.

Age Limit – 21 to 27 years
