How To Join Indian Army via CDS

To join Indian Army as an officer (SSC) a candidate needs to prepare and appear for Indian Military Academy (IMA). Only male candidates are eligible for it. Female candidates can only apply for Officers Training Academy (OTA).

·         For IMA (male candidates) Age Limit is 19-24 years of age.

·         For OTA (female & male candidates) Age Limit is 19-25 years of age.

CDS IMA (Army) Educational Qualification

For IMA and OTA, candidates need to have a UG degree from a university or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or college.
