20th anniversary of Kargil war victory ; Flame enlighted by Defence minister

Through enlighten the Victory Flame by Defence minister Rajnath Singh celebration ceremony of victory of Operation Vijay of Kargil war  started on 14 July 2019 

This is the  20th Anniversary of the Operation Vijay. The ceremony was held at the National War Memorial in New Delhi. 

This days is celebrated in the names of the martyr’s soldiers who foght the battle will determined enemy seized on heights to win Kargil war. The soldiers who fought and overcome odds, hostiles ,food, weather , terrai.

The planning and preparation for the celebration was in the process from last 2 months.

The celebration inaugurated by liting the victory flame  by Defence minister Rajnath Singh along with General Bipin Rawat ,COAS, Subedar Sanjay Kumar.

The theme of 20th anniversay of Kargil Vijay Diwas Remember, Rejoice and Renew.

PVC handed the lamp to the army shooter Subedar JItu Rai. He is the 1st torch bearer of the Flame. The victory flame will travel from 9 major cities of North India and finally joint with flame in Kargil War Memorial at Dras on 26 July 2019 which is recieved by General Bipin Rawat COAS.

The torch of victory flame  is made up of copper, brass and wood which symbolizes tenancity and determintion of our heroes.
