The selection process is quite simple and involves a computer-based examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and medical examinations. To qualify Navy MR computer-based examination you need to understand the pattern of question paper which comprises of total 50 questions of one mark each. The question paper is available in both Hindi & English and involves multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is 30 minutes. The question paper is divided into two sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge. The examinees are generally 10th passed and therefore, the pattern of the question paper is of high school standard.
Negative marking is in place and ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer to the question attempted by you. Those who have qualified in computer based examination will have to appear for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) in the next age. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) involves 1.6 Km run, which is to be completed in 7 minutes. In addition, examinees also need to perform 20 squat ups & 10 push-ups. After clearing the examination & PFT hurdle, the final selection rests upon medical examination, which will be conducted by authorised military doctors.
