Military Nursing Services also known as MNS is a Branch of Indian Army which makes Nursing Officers.The Branch of MNS is open only for Females and Follows the Same Ranking as that of Commissioned Officers of Indian Army. The Nursing Officer tenure in Indian Army is for 10 years Extendable upto 4 more years thus 14 yrs in Total and is Short Service Commission. Nursing Officers can be Posted to Different hospitals of Indian Armed Forces and is Never Posted tpo Field Areas or Border Areas.Thus Job of Nursing Officer is secured and Is confined to Hospitals of Indian Armed Forces in Peace Ares only.Let us Understand Types of Hospitals in Indian Armed Forces.
Types of Hospitals in Indian Armed Forces
The Basic Hospital in Every armed Forces Station is :-
1.) MI room or Station Sick Quarters.MI rooms have basic amenities to Provide First Aid.
2.) Above MI room is Military Hospital or Field Hospital.Military hospital.Tri Services Personnels are Sent to Military Hospitals.
3.) Above Military Hospitals are Base Hospitals
4.) After Base Hospitals are Command Hospitals
5.) After Command Hospitals is Research and Referral(R &R) Hospital.
A Particular Nursing Officer once after completion of Training is deputed to any of the Above Hospitals of Indian Armed Forces.
What is The Age to Join MNS
There are two Entries in Military Nursing Services
1.) To Join MNS One can Appear after CLass 12 and age for MNS is 17-24 years where Girl Candidates will be Given Bsc Nursing Certification along with Basic Military Training
2.) To Join MNS One can Appear after Doing Bsc Nursing and age for the same is 21-35 yrs of Age
However Every Year Entry For CLass 12 Pass Students comes with 220 Vacancies thus Mostly Candidates join MNS after CLass 12 and Age For Joining MNS After CLass 12 is 17-24 yrs of age.
