• Admission to 6 medical institutions of the Armed Forces.

Career Growth In Indian Army B.Sc Nursing

After the selection of the candidate for the nursing course, the Army conducts a four-year B.Sc Nursing course (BSc NURSINGCOURSE). After that the candidate can be given appointment in the Army hospital anywhere in the whole of India. Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) are eligible for basic promotion.

• On completion of 2 years reckonable commissioned service the candidate is eligible for promotion to the post of Captain.
• On completion of 6 years reckonable commissioned service the candidate can be promoted to the post of Major.
• On completion of 13 years of reckonable commissioned service, the candidate becomes eligible for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Other Career Options After B.Sc Army Nursing

Retired Armed Forces Nursing Officers can continue to practice privately as they have the license to practice and they just need registration in the State Nursing Council of their concerned state. After that they can wish to work as a freelancer, as a consultant, as a private working professional or go forward to for other Govt Level Nursing exams.
