Girls can now give NDA exam !  Yes, you read it right. There is big news for the female candidates waiting to join the countrys prestigious National Defense Academy (NDA). The Supreme Court has given a big decision in their favor.

The Supreme Court has ordered the central government to allow women to appear in the entrance examination of the National Defense Academy (NDA). This entrance exam is to be held on 5th September. The court said that after this examination, the final entry of women in NDA will be subject to the final decision of the ongoing trial in the court.

Girls were not allowed to appear in the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam till now. The girls and their families had been demanding exemption from the government in this regard for a long time. When no decision was taken by the government in this regard, people filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Hearing this, the court has issued an interim order.

The National Defence Academy (NDA) built at Khadakwasla near Pune in Maharashtra has been a well-known institute for preparing military officers in the country. Here after 12th admission is done through written entrance exam and SSB interview. Here all the cadets who wish to join the Army, Navy and Air Force are given training together. After completing 3 years of training, the cadets are sent to the concerned academy for training in the armies of their choice.

Now as final order by Supreme Court of India followed by new notification by UPSC is awaited thus new NDA notification for girls is subjected to official update.
