Males youngsters who intend to join armed Forces can join NDA after 12th.<\/p>\n<p>To join National Defence Academy a candidate must appear in the entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission, twice a year, normally in month of March and August. The candidate must be in <strong>good physical and mental health<\/strong> and free from any disease\/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties. There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates are asked to stay in the SSB camp for 5 days more for their medical check- up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day- 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At Day 1 of medical, candidates undergo Blood test, Chest X-ray, Urine test and Ultrasound.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates should not eat anything during day 1 testing.<\/li>\n<li>The blood test essentially looks for haemoglobin percentage and other essential minerals.<\/li>\n<li>The chest x- ray looks for any irregularities in the chest area.<\/li>\n<li>The urine test looks for mineral contents in urine.<\/li>\n<li>The ultra sound looks for irregularities in the kidney and liver.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Day- 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At Day 2 of medical, candidates undergo Eye check up.<\/li>\n<li>This day goes entirely for the examination of eyes.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates without glasses should have a vision of 6\/6 or 6\/9.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates with glasses should also have a vision of 6\/6 (after wearing glasses).<\/li>\n<li>To get a healthy eye check up, eat healthy foods.
