SSB Interview- a one of a kind of Interview conducted by Indian Armed Forces only. SSB stands for Service Selection Board. Those who know about SSB must know that there are three officers who command SSB interview i.e. A GTO officer, a psychological officer and an Interviewing officer.<\/p>\n

Between day 2 to day 4, a SSB student can have their personal interview round. Just like the two others an Interviewing officer holds an important place in the selection of a candidate.<\/p>\n

In this blog we are going to share some important tips to crack SSB interview given by Col. Pankaj Mehrotra (ex. Interviewing officer).<\/p>\n

COL. PANKAJ MEHROTRA <\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

He belongs to a non-defence background. The interest to go for Armed Forces came after he took admission in Sainik School. Participated in NDA examination and was the only child from his batch who has qualified the written examination. Met Wing Cdr. Anoop Mehrotra during his Training.<\/em><\/p>\n

He has been in the selection system for about 8 years and took interview of more than 6000 candidates during his tenure.<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

TIPS TO CRACK SSB <\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

In his Interview in Trishul Defence Academy he shared his experience of Being a NDA candidate. He told that the experience and memories of NDA is life lasting. Sharing his views he also gave us major tips with the help of which a student can understand SSB better. These are follows:<\/p>\n

  • PIQ i.e. personal information questionnaire, which a student fills on his very first day at SSB is of utmost importance regarding his personal interview. As on the basis of that an Interviewing officer gets an idea about you.<\/li>\n
  • An Interviewing officer looks for Zeal, Motivation and enthusiasm in a student.<\/li>\n
  • How a student unfolds himself in front of the assessors matters the most. The way he\/ she answers the questions put by the assessors is important.<\/li>\n
  • Dressing sense makes an image of you in front of the assessors, make sure to dress well. Be formally and properly dressed. Be well shaved; don\u2019t keep the top button open. Be decent and sincere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
