These Non-commissioned officers are the lowest rank in all the three forces i.e. Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. A soldier or sailor or Airman gets ample opportunity to grow, following the hierarchy of ranking present in these forces. A junior commissioned officer need to put their 4-5 years of service to get promoted to the next rank. It takes years for a non-commissioned officer to reach junior-commissioned level. Hence, their chances of becoming a Commissioned officer through promotions become nil.<\/p>\n

Other than promotions Indian Armed Forces provide opportunities to the worthy and deserving soldiers in service to become officers. These are called as service entries. In this article we are going to provide you the details of such entries through which a soldier can become officer in Indian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

ACC \u2013 ARMY CADET COLLEGE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

ACC entry is an Entry for candidates currently serving in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian air Force. The nature of their training is similar to that of National Defence Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

CW ENTRY \u2013 COMMISSION WORTHY SCHEME<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Indian Navy provides opportunity to sailors to become a commissioned officer. \u00a0These are commissioned worthy i.e. CW scheme and very rare SD scheme (Special Duties). Earlier SW scheme is known as the Upper Yardmen Scheme in which the candidates from lower deck will be selected to become officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

An Artificer sailor should hold the rank of Artificer 5th class or higher<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Marital Status<\/td>\nMarried sailors will not be allowed married accommodation nor are they allowed to live with their families while in training.<\/p>\n

Unmarried will not be allowed to marry till they become Sub Lieutenants.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
