All the above eligibility criteria are common for In-service and Direct Entry candidates<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PHYSICAL STANDARDS :<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Height \u2013 Minimum 160 Cms (157 Cms for Pandit Gorkha, Bodh Monk and Maulvi Shia)<\/li>\n<li>Chest \u2013 Minimum 77 Cms<\/li>\n<li>Weight \u2013 50 Kgs (48 Kgs for Pandit Gorkha, Bodh Monk and Maulvi Shia)<\/li>\n<li>Physical Fitness Test \u2013 1.6 Km (1 mile) Run in 08 Minutes<\/li>\n<li>Candidate Upto 30 years of Age: Should be able to run in 05 Minutes 45 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate Beyond 30 years of Age: Should be able to run in 06 Minutes 30 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>EXAMINATION PROCESS :<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Selection will be done on the basis of <em>written exam<\/em> &amp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper-I<\/strong> (100 Marks):&nbsp; An objective type question paper on general awareness and is common to candidates of all Religious denominations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper-II<\/strong> (100 Marks):&nbsp;Contains objective questions to check the knowledge specific to particular religious denomination to which the candidate belongs.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate is required to secure at least 40 marks out of 100 Marks.<\/li>\n<li>The number of candidates to be called for interview will be three times the number of vacancies<\/li>\n<li>Candidates need a minimum of 50 out of 100 marks to qualify in the interview.<\/li>\n<li>The final selection will be based on merit list drawn on the basis of the total marks obtained in Paper II and Interview.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>HOW TO APPLY<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications will only be accepted online on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joinindianarmy.nic.in\"><em>joinindianarmy.nic.in<\/em><\/a><em><u>. <\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>At the homepage of the website go to the menu bar and select \u201cJCO\/ OR Enrolment\u201d tab.
