With Effect from 11 May 2015 a new Policy has been Circulated by Indian Armed Forces regarding Tattoo. The New Tattoo Policy<\/strong> is as follows:-<\/p>\n

Candidates From Tribal Communities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Candidates From Tribal Community as declared by Government of India Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Orders Act are\u00a0Permitted to Have Permanent Tattoos on any part of Body.<\/p>\n

1.)<\/strong> Tribal Communities need to Appendix B signed by DM\/SDM of District or Tehsil where the Tribe of candidate is Presently Settled.<\/p>\n

2.)<\/strong> Self Declaration with Tattoo has to be signed in Appendix A along with photograph of Tattoo.<\/p>\n

All Other Candidates<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Permanent Body Tattoos for all Other Candidates are Permitted on<\/p>\n

1.Inner face of Forearms(i.e From Inside of Elbow to Wrist of Both Hands)<\/p>\n

2.Reverse Side of Palm\/Back Side of Both Hands.<\/p>\n

Nature Of Tattoos<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The sizeof Tattoo is not Specified however following rules has to be applied:-<\/p>\n

1.Tattoos on any Part of Body is not Allowed<\/p>\n

2.Tattoos with Lewd Comments or Offensive Comment is not Allowed.<\/p>\n

3.Tattoos with Indecent\u00a0Figures are not allowed.<\/p>\n

4.Tattoos with Sexists or Racist are not allowed.<\/p>\n

What to Do If You Have Tattoos<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Actions to be taken if You have Tattoo is as follows:-<\/p>\n

1.Before Starting of Stage 1 of SSB Interviews <\/u>–<\/strong> The Candidates are Expected to Write to Commandant about Nature Of Tattoo .They have to Attach Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C<\/p>\n

2.During Start of SSB Interviews<\/u> –<\/strong> In case Candidates have forget to Mention they have tattoos it is immediately\u00a0 required from\u00a0Candidates to\u00a0 inform abt Taattoo.<\/p>\n
