Is Tattoo Allowed in Indian Army ?<\/h2>\n

Is Tattoo Allowed in Indian Army: As Declared by the Government of India Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders Permanent Body Tattoos on any Part of the Body, As per Existing Customs and Traditions of the Tribe to which a Candidate belongs. Such Candidates will only be Permitted to Continue with the Selection Process in \u00a0SSB on the Condition that the following Certificates Must be Submitted by the Candidate from a Tribal Area, Prior to Commencement of Stage I of the Selection Process.<\/p>\n

(A) Certificate of Belonging to a Tribal Community and Permissibility\u00a0of Permanent Body Tattoo to be Signed\u00a0by anyone of the\u00a0 Two following Officials:-<\/h3>\n

(i) DC\/DM or SDM of the District where the Tribe of the Candidate is Presently Settled (Name and Designation of the Concerned Official must be Clearly mentioned).<\/p>\n

(ii) Chairman \/ Secretary or any other Senior Member of the Tribe Name, address of the concerned Member Should\u00a0 be Clearly Mentioned.<\/p>\n

(B) Self Certification Certificate \u00a0to be signed by\u00a0the Candidate.<\/h3>\n

All Other Candidates<\/strong>: Permanent Body Tattoos are Allowed on the\u00a0following body Parts only, for which a Candidate is Required to Sign a Self\u00a0Certification .<\/p>\n

(A) Reverse side of the palm \/ back (dorsal) side of both hands.<\/p>\n

(B) Inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of the Elbow to the Wrist of\u00a0both the Hands.<\/p>\n

(C) Reverse Side of the Palm or back (dorsal) side of both Hands.<\/p>\n

Nature of Tattoos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

(A)<\/strong> Permissible Tattoos.<\/p>\n

( Though no Restriction on Size or type of Tattoo has been Specified, Tattoos are only Permitted on body parts as Mentioned above.)<\/p>\n

(B)<\/strong> Only Small Tattoos are permitted which Reflects Religious\u00a0Symbols or names of Near and Dear Ones etc.<\/p>\n

(C) <\/strong>Non-Permissible Tattoos<\/strong>. <\/strong>Regardless of location of a tattoo on the body Permitted \/not-Permitted), the following will fall under the category of \u2018Non-permissible Tattoos\u2019:-<\/h3>\n

(i) Tattoos on any other part of the body.<\/p>\n

(ii) A Tattoo with lewd or Offensive Content or indecent figures.\u00a0Tattoos that are indecent, Sexist or Racist, Explained as follows:-<\/p>\n

Indecent tattoos are those that are grossly offensive to\u00a0Modesty, Decency or Propriety.<\/p>\n
