Navy SSR AA 2022 Medical Standards : (a) Medical examinations will be conducted by authorised military doctors in accordance with current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.<\/p>\n

(b) A minimum height of 157 cms is required. Weight and chest size should be in proportion to one another. A 5 cm chest expansion is required. The official recruitment website has information on the minimum height requirements for entry into the Indian Navy as a Sailor, as well as any applicable relaxations.<\/p>\n

(c) As per Navy Order (Special) 01\/2008, candidates must be in good physical and mental health, free of any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace and war conditions.<\/p>\n

(d) Enrollment At INS Chilka, all candidates on the merit list will undergo a medical examination.<\/p>\n

Candidates who pass the Enrolment Medical Examination and are found to be medically fit will be enrolled. Candidates who are found medically unfit will be advised that they can appeal the decision at INHS Nivarini, Chilka, and INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam, but only for a maximum of 21 days. If declared unfit in the specialist review, no further review\/appeal is allowed. In addition, if the candidate fails to appear for the appeal medical examination on the specified date, time, and location, he will be denied a second chance.<\/p>\n

Prior to the enrolment medical examination, candidates should have their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from their teeth.<\/p>\n

Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm\/ back (dorsal) side of hand.
