In view of the demand for additional battalions and headquarters etc. in paramilitary forces, the need for recruitment of about one lakh jawans is being felt. All security forces need additional manpower. But according to the proposal, the gap is continuously increasing due to non-recruitment. The organization associated with the welfare of paramilitary forces has put pressure on the government regarding this issue.<\/p>\n

Maximum 29,000 posts are vacant in BSF. A large number of posts are also vacant in CRPF and CISF. This number is around 26,000. SSB and ITBP have also sent the proposal of new battalion to the government. These forces also need to recruit a large number of personnel. If the answer given in Parliament is taken as the norm, then there are 18,643 vacancies in SSB, 5,784 in ITBP and 7,328 in Assam Rifles. Whereas these numbers are more in proportion to the requirement of the new battalion, BOP.<\/p>\n

Ranbir Singh, general secretary of the Confederation of Ex Paramilitary Welfare Association, said that there are more than 1 lakh vacancies in the central paramilitary forces against the posts of constables. Under the old recruitment process, 55 thousand medical fit candidates are present. Those found fit in the recruitment of the year 2018 have not been given appointment letters. Many people became older because of the delay.<\/p>\n

Apart from the delay in new recruitment, the gap has also increased due to VRS and retirement. The Confederation claims that during the year 2011-20, about 81 thousand jawans took VRS, while about 16 thousand resigned from their jobs.
