Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Dr. Vinod Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog, and Sanyukta Samaddar, Advisor (SGDs), NITI Aayog were present at the launch event.<\/p>\n<p>The SDG India Index 2020-21 has been designed by NITI Aayog after extensive consultations with various states and union territories of India, the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI), United Nations-led United Nations agencies in India and key central ministries. and was developed. The theme of this SDG India Index 2020-21 focuses on the importance of partnership.<\/p>\n<p>SDG India Index 2020-21 measures the progress of various states and union territories of India based on economic, social and environmental parameters. \u2022 Kerala ranked first as the top-performing state with a score of 75 points While Bihar remained the worst-performing state in NITI Aayog&#8217;s SDG India Index 2020-21 with a score of 52 points.<\/p>\n<p>Kerala is the top-performing state in NITI Aayog&#8217;s SDG India Index 2020-21, followed by Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu at second place, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Uttarakhand at third place, Sikkim and Maharashtra is at fifth place. \u2022 The worst performing states in NITI Aayog&#8217;s SDG India Index 2020-21 are Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand and Bihar at the bottom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NITI Aayog has released the third edition of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index and Dashboard, 2020-21 on June 03, 2021.
