The Tamil Nadu Anti-NEET Bill was passed by the state assembly in September 2021. The bill seeks to do away with the requirement of NEET for medical courses in the state. The Central Government had made the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test mandatory for all the students of the country. This bill was passed in opposition to this requirement. Navy Officer Lieutenant Commander JR Suresh Drowns in Floods In Tamil Nadu
A Navy officer who was on vacation in Chennai died after drowning at Kovalam beach. The authorities gave this information on Friday. The officer’s body was fished on Friday from Kelambakkam, about five kilometers from the spot where he was washed away in the sea. A release issued by the Defense Office said that Lieutenant Commander of the Indian Navy JR Suresh was washed away on the Kovalam beach on the outskirts of Chennai on the evening of 25 November 2021. Tamil Nadu government inducts former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan into the Economic Advisory Council
Eminent economists of the world have been included in the newly formed Economic Advisory Council to give impetus to the economy in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government has included former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan in the Economic Advisory Council. State Governor Banwarilal Purohit has announced on 21 June 2021 that leading economists have been included in the Economic Advisory Council to the Chief Minister.
