Intruder killed in firing by BSF troops in Samba order area
An intruder was shot dead on Monday when BSF troops resorted to firing following the detection of suspicious movement along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, a senior officer of the force said. The alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) detected the suspected Pakistani intruder’s movement along the IB in Ramgarh in the early hours and opened fire after challenging him, officials said. The intruder did not pay any heed and was subsequently shot dead by the troops, they added.

On Monday, a day after the Pakistani tunnel was found in the Rigal area near the International Border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Border Security Force (BSF) killed an intruder in the border village of Chak Fakira. On the other hand, in the Machil sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday evening, the army foiled an infiltration attempt. According to defense sources, at around 6.30 pm on Monday, an intruder was crossing the Zero line on the Indo-Pakistan international border of Chak Fakira in Samba district and hiding near the barricades.
