Eminent economists of the world have been included in the newly formed Economic Advisory Council to give impetus to the economy in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government has included former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan in the Economic Advisory Council. State Governor Banwarilal Purohit has announced on 21 June 2021 that leading economists have been included in the Economic Advisory Council to the Chief Minister. Many more economic experts are also included in the advisory council of Chief Minister MK Stalin.
