To promote Atmanirbhar Bharat and strengthen the Indian Army, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) yesterday launched indigenously developed Low Weight, Fire and Forget Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile. (MPATGM) has been successfully tested. Significantly, India is continuously promoting indigenous manufacturing in the defense sector. The central government had said on Monday itself that 119 defense proposals worth Rs 2,15,690 crore have been approved in the last three financial years to promote indigenous manufacturing.
